ACCESS REQUIREMENT FORM

All applications for carers tickets/accessibility area can be made by using this form HERE

Due to the size of our venue, we have limited capacity in our accessibility area. We would advise you to contact us by filling in our access requirements form before purchasing any tickets, as we cannot process refunds if we cannot accommodate your party.

This form takes no more than 5 minutes to complete, we aim to get back to all applications within 3 working days. To confirm a carers ticket, we require one paid adult ticket to be purchased. 

Once we have confirmed availability for your chosen event, please ensure you purchase your ticket, to be eligible for your carer’s ticket we will ask for you to send your ticket reference number before confirming your booking.

We require notification of accessibility needs and registration to use the venue’s facilities at least 7 days prior to the event you wish to attend.

Please note: All access requests are granted on a first come first served basis, we will not be able to accommodate all requests due to capacity limitations.

 

Capacity

 

Our maximum capacity is as follows:
3 x wheelchair users (plus 1 companion per user)
4 x seats (plus 1 companion per seat)
Please note: Our capacity may vary depending on demand for each event. For example: an event with 2 wheelchair users attending (plus 1 companion per user) would increase our seating to 7 (plus 1 companion per user).
For guests using a powered wheelchair, additional space would be required, please specify in your access requirement form to ensure we can accommodate your needs.

 

About our venue 

CONTENT is a brand new, state-of-the-art venue in the heart of the Cains Brewery Village, Liverpool. The entrance into Cains Brewery is step-free access. There is one curb step to the entrance of CONTENT, we have a portable ramp for customers who require step-free access. 

 

In the main venue, we have step-free access to our toilet facilities, which are located at the back of the building. We have 2 disabled toilets at the front of the ground floor facilities.

 

There is one step to access the bar area. We have a portable ramp available. If you are in our accessibility area we provide a drinks runner throughout the night. If you would like to purchase any merchandise, our drinks runner will be happy to get this for you or ensure that after the show you can purchase merchandise. 

 

To ensure that customers with accessible needs have the best experience they can at CONTENT, we have a private entrance located close to the main entrance for customers to use if they wish. This entrance has portable ramp access which takes customers around the perimeter of the venue to an entrance located right next to our access area. 

 

Our accessibility area 

Our viewing area is a viewing platform situated halfway between the stage and the ground floor toilets.

 

Our viewing platform is a raised platform, raised at 2.5ft and has the following capacities:

 

1 wheelchair, 18 chairs = 19 total

 

2 wheelchairs, 16 chairs = 18 total

 

3 wheelchairs (max), 12 chairs = 15 total

 

Please note: We will always have at least 1 wheelchair space available for all our events.

 

We will provide portable seats for all guests booked into our accessible area.

 

Our seats are padded folding chairs, measured at H78 W44 D45 (CM)

 

If you would like to transfer from your wheelchair to a seat, please let us know in your access requirement form so we can ensure this is ready for you on the night.

 

A member of security will be placed in the access area at all times.

 

Our accessible toilets are situated on the ground venue floor at the back of the building. Please let a member of the security/team know if you need to use our facilities, as a private access route can be used that prevents walking through the crowds.

 

We also provide a drinks running service for guests who need it. Our drinks runner will be introduced to you upon your arrival. They will also be happy to take pictures of the merchandise on the night if you wish to purchase any items before the show starts.

 

We will always ensure any guests in our access area have time to purchase merchandise at the end of the show too.

 

Arriving at our venue 

We advise all customers booked into our accessibility area to arrive 15 minutes before doors open for their chosen event. This is to avoid walking through large crowds once general admission doors open. Please arrive at the entrance to the venue (directly across from the Yellow Submarine bar) and make yourself known to security. Each event will have a dedicated Accessibility Coordinator to assist you with entry into the venue. Our access coordinator will be provided with a list of all customers booked into the access area on that night. 

For any customers who are unable to make it before doors open, please follow the same steps and our accessibility coordinator will be with you as soon as possible. We can provide an alternative route to the accessibility area to avoid large crowds. 

 

Toilets

We have two accessible toilets on the ground floor of CONTENT Liverpool. They are situated at the back of the room, at the entrance to the general admission toilets. 

 Each toilet has: 

  • Outward opening door 
  • One raised WC with paddle-type toilet flush 
  • Lowered basin with lever tap 
  • 5 supporting grab rails 
  • Alarm cord 
  • Sanitary bin

 

Customers with Medical Requirements

We welcome any customers who are required to bring any medicines, food or drink to manage any medical condition. We would recommend detailing this in your accessibility request form. Alternatively, you can inform the accessibility coordinator for the night who will relay the message to the required members of staff. 

 

Access to Performance

At the present time, we do not offer any audio enhancement services at CONTENT Liverpool. 

 

Assistance Dogs

Assistant dogs are welcome in our venue with a bowl of water provided. We urge to notify our venue prior to arrival to discuss any additional services you or your service dog may require. You can do this by using the access requirements form.

 

Strobe Lighting

Strobe lighting, lighting that produces stroboscopic effects, and other effects may be used during shows in our venue.

 

Carers / Companion Ticket scheme 

CONTENT Liverpool provides free companion/ carer’s tickets for ticket holders that require full-time assistance. To ensure our scheme isn’t subject to fraudulent misuse, we require proof of disability at the time of application. In addition to the accepted proof of disability forms below, we also accept access cards. All applications will be looked at individually. Our access scheme is on a first come first served basis. Due to space within the venue, all applications are limited to 2 people (whether that be 2 paying adults or 1 carers ticket) to ensure that people who need it most have the facilities they need. (For customers who require more than one carer, please note this in your application). 

We accept the following forms of Proof of Disability –

  • Department of Work & Pensions letter confirming Disability Living Allowance
  • Department of Work & Pensions letter confirming Attendance Allowance status
  • Department of Work & Pensions letter confirming Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
  • Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)
  • A Certificate of Visual Impairment
  • Official / Documented evidence you are registered as severely sight impaired (blind)
  • UK-recognised identification for an Assistance Dog
  • National Rail Disabled Persons Railcard
